What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze financial information and prepare reports for sponsored project financial data
- Serve as a liaison with departmental administrators and principal investigators for financial inquiries
- Monitor and reconcile financial transactions related to grant funds and accounts
- Communicate with sponsors regarding contract and budget modifications
- Prepare journal entries and account analyses as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills to identify errors or discrepancies in financial data
- Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of sponsor regulations and compliance
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Banner Finance, COEUS systems, and Hyperion
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
