What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Post-award grant reporting and transaction support
- Pre-award grant proposal specialist support
- Managing sponsored accounts and developing financial reports
- Training faculty, staff, and researchers on research-related policies and practices
- Maintaining audit compliance and internal controls specific to sponsored programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4-6 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably some in research administrative experience
- Associate’s Degree in business administration, finance, communication, or related field
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented and organized
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree and four years of financial and/or research administration experience
- Knowledge of 2CFR 200 (Uniform Guidance) and other regulations
- Experience with grant writing, proposal submission, and post-award financial management
- Familiarity with Cornell systems, policies, and procedures
- Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly
