What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the coordination and development of complex administrative components for timely submission of research proposals
- Oversee budgeting and ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor guidelines during proposal development
- Manage the preparation, routing, and submission of proposal documents within the institution's research administration system
- Coordinate responses to sponsor requests and address complex pre-award cost requests
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance with sponsor, federal, and university regulations for proposals and awards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with significant attention to detail
- Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with stakeholders
- Demonstrated customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with university systems, specifically UAccess Research or similar platforms
- Demonstrated experience with pre-award administration and grant development in an academic setting
