      Position Summary

      The Interstitial Lung Disease Program at the UHN is one of the world’s foremost programs, renowned for cutting edge research and clinical practice. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Analyst I will conduct both data analysis and research coordination for clinical research projects in the department.

      Duties

      • Maintain and update the existing CARE-PF prospective fibrotic lung diseases database, working with other staff to ensure the accuracy of the data
      • Identify and recruit new eligible patients, coordinating patient contact, and managing databases for tracking patient recruitment
      • Obtaining medical data on research subjects participating in research studies
      • Coordinate data and material sharing within UHN and with other institutions/organizations
      • Assist in the analysis of data collected from research subjects
      • Assist in the interpretation of results and the preparation of material for presentation, publication and/or grants and carrying out literature searches
      • Coordination of the MILDDER web-based ILD consultation service which includes scheduling of clinicians, collecting appropriate clinical information and questionnaires from external referring clinicians, coordinating data collection from clinical fellows and scheduling of virtual case presentations
      • Facilitation of bi-monthly Thursday morning MILDDER sessions from 8-9am using an Adobe web-conference platform
      • Data entry for the MILDDER program
      • Perform administrative tasks for current and potential research subjects in the ILD clinic including coordination of pulmonary function tests (both at the UHN and locally for patients followed across the province), filing and other potential administrative duties associated with this patient population
