Conduct research on a broad range of topics including economies, industries, markets, and companies.
Break down wide-ranging and open-ended research requests into discrete questions.
Collect, synthesize, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources.
Deliver research and analysis in formats tailored to the audience which may include reports and presentations.
Other duties as assigned.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in a field such as economics, finance, applied sciences or a related discipline
You can demonstrate professional writing skills and clear analytical thinking
You have a strong commitment and ability to deliver accurate information
You have experience managing multiple projects with shifting deadlines
You thrive in a self-directed work environment and are comfortable with ambiguity

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a Business Research Analyst who will conduct multidisciplinary research for diverse audiences around the world. As part of our research team, you will study and understand the significance of current events, collect and analyze market data, and deliver your findings in thoughtful, well-written reports and presentations.

Pay Range Data:
We anticipate filling this position as a Research Analyst $58,200 - $91,200 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
