      Job Description Summary

      Apply research and business intelligence methodologies to perform a wide variety of investment product and competitor analysis on pricing, new product trends, factor analysis, economic analysis, profitability, and forecasting.

      Job Description

      Responsibilities

      • Design, build, and maintain business intelligence platforms for analysis and interpretation using a wide variety of data sources.
      • Collect information from the sales organization, market research, regulatory developments, and other sources to help in the design of new products and product changes.
      • Access impacts and opportunities for existing and potential investment offerings.
      • Develop reports and present leadership with findings to support strategic business decisions.
      • Solve investment/portfolio related questions and technical topics within the BI infrastructure.
      • Perform research and reporting to support the work of product strategists.
      • Advise the sales team on product research findings to support distribution efforts.
      • Identify and solve product/pricing issues by performing analysis that involves retrieving and analyzing internal and external data.
      • Perform extensive product reviews that require analysis of trends, factors, issues, competitive analysis, and rate level indications.
      • Assist with analyzing financial results, product profitability and forecasting.
      • Assist in forecasting and modeling results of action plans.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, or relevant field
      • Developing knowledge and experience as a research analyst or business intelligence analyst (typically three or more years)
      • Proficient knowledge of BI concepts and tools
      • Knowledge of mutual funds, insurance products, and other investment offerings and terminology
      • Knowledge of financial services investment pricing, processes, and terminology
      • Ability to organize and analyze complex data sets
      • Ability to abstract a concept into a series of lifecycle components and events
      • Analytical, critical thinking, planning, and organization skills
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills to present information to management and other functional areas
      • Good problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to identify trends/patterns within data sets and identify root causes
      • Proficient managing and manipulating data using MS Office/MSBI products

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Background in the financial services industry
      • Working knowledge and experience using market research tools (e.g. eVestment, Morningstar Direct, Simfund)
      • Experience coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings

      Working Conditions:

      • Commuting Remote / Hybrid employees will need to report to a Company office location at times approximately 2 days a week

      Compensation:

      **Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency and compensation posting laws. It is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.**

      The Salary for this position generally ranges between $65,000 - $75,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

      Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company discretion.
