Job Description

- To conduct the study according to the protocol, privacy and GCP guidelines
- To be knowledgeable of the protocol so that all study activities are completed correctly.
- To recruit patients for participation in according to and based on Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board (HiREB) approved protocol, forms and precedures.
- To screen the potential study participants according to the protocol’s inclusion and exclusion criteria
- To respond to all questions by participants and their guardians, and in accordance with the above guidelines.
- To obtain proper online informed consent from each study participant prior to participation in the study
- To schedule study participant visits as per protocol
- To perform delegated protocol specific activities completely and accurately
- To monitor and report all adverse experiences and abnormal results to the investigator and HiREB if necessary.
- To update and maintain subject screening and enrolment logs
- To create & complete source documents and any other research documents required for the successful conduct of a clinical research study
- To complete and maintain HiREB renewal and amendment forms.
- Bachelor of Science degree or related degree
- GCP and privacy training certificates or equivalents are to be provided when applying.
- Master’s or post graduate diploma in Science or research is an asset
- A minimum of 1-2 years clinical research experience or equivalent certification
- Available references from a previous research work.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of general research procedures and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a necessity.
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong preference for candidates who can make a multi-year commitment.
- Proficiency with MS Office and SPSS including creating spreadsheets, reports and presentation.

The anxiety treatment and research clinic (ATRC), at St. Joseph's health care in Hamilton, Ontario is looking for a part-time research assistant (22 weekly hours) for a CIHR-funded multi-site study of children, adolescents, and young adults, funded through 2026. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary clinical research environment.
