Job Description

- Ensure highest levels of data integrity, security and privacy.
- Monitor recruitment activity and data entry.
- Perform data quality review and data cleaning tasks.
- Develop and implement data validation practices.
- Prepare and distribute data reports.
- Assist staff with computer and database tasks.
- Perform ad hoc data entry, extraction, and data audits.
- Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Center and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in natural or social sciences, public health, or related field; and/or equivalent experience/training in research.
- No certifications required.
- 1 year of research or clinical experience in hospital, educational, or health care setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with large data sets/spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, SPSS, REDcap).
- Experience in data collection and data quality control.
- Editing, processing, data blending, manipulation or cleaning.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, plus Word and PowerPoint.
- Basic statistical analysis skills.
- Project management and organization skills.
- Skills sufficient to work effectively and diplomatically with both internal and external technical and non-technical personnel at various levels.
- Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information and scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner in English in written and verbal forms.
- Self-motivated, learn quickly, meet deadlines, demonstrate problem solving skills.
- Master’s degree in psychology or public-health related field preferred.
- Knowledge of Medline and SPSS
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time or exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- No potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.

The Research Assistant also coordinates projects and maintain project records, including IRB documentation and participant contact information; process research stipend payments; create reports for project teams, department administration, and funders; and assist with project planning, participant recruitment, and participant scheduling, as well as develops and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
