- Preparation of nucleic acids and subsequent analysis
- Preparation of components, media, buffers, and other solutions as needed
- Preparation of material components for production of research and process development batches
- Assist team members by performing various investigative procedures and operating a variety of instruments and other scientific equipment.
- Meticulous record keeping
- Participation in laboratory meetings and planning sessions
- Reading of literature applicable to research areas as required
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- master’s degree in biochemistry or equivalent, with 2 years’ experience, or BS with 5 years’ experience is required.
- Experience in in vitro enzymatic reactions is required.
- Experience in downstream chromatography methods is required.
- Experience in analytical HPLC methods is a plus.
- Previous experience in dealing with RNA and DNA is a plus.
- Hands on experience using the scientific method
- Willingness to arrive on time and strong work ethic
- Lab experience (class work or research), preferably pipetting, gel analysis
- Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines, and as a team member
- Ability to draft routine reports and keep accurate records of work performed
- Actively seeks opportunities to increase skills and expertise
- Able to learn complex tasks with general instructions
- Demonstrate ability to follow detailed directions in a research laboratory environment.

Job Overview
Arcturus is seeking a temp Senior Research Associate to join our RNA Technology and Innovation and process development team. The RA will assist in the preparation and analysis of nucleic acids. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong team-based work ethic are required. We are looking for a serious, inquisitive RA who wants to be part of a hard-working, fast paced team. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about the RNA production process in an industrial setting.
