What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct molecular biology, virology, and cell biology experiments, including DNA/RNA isolation and PCR techniques
- Perform animal experiments, including handling, physical examinations, and tissue analysis
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to contribute to research findings
- Prepare and present results to the Principal Investigator (PI) and lab team
- Assist with protocol development and laboratory management, including inventory maintenance and staff training
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of research experience
- Experience with experimental systems related to mutagenesis, homologous/non-homologous recombination, and deaminase activities
- Ability to be active and on feet approximately 80% of the day
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation
- Basic knowledge in molecular biology techniques
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in molecular biology or related field with three (3) years of research experience, or a Ph.D. in biology with one (1) year of relevant lab experience
- Familiarity with aseptic tissue culture and flow cytometry techniques
- Previous experience in viral infection and purification methods
