      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct molecular biology, virology, and cell biology experiments, including DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, and protein purification
      - Perform animal experiments, including handling, physical examinations, and blood collection
      - Analyze and interpret experimental data for ongoing research projects
      - Prepare and present research results to the Principal Investigator (PI) and lab personnel
      - Assist with laboratory management, maintaining inventories, and coordinating routine lab maintenance

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of research experience
      - Previous experience in experimental systems related to mutagenesis and recombination
      - Must be active and able to be on their feet approximately 80% of the day
      - Proven ability to conduct and analyze experiments in a laboratory setting
      - Strong organizational and communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master's degree in molecular biology or related field plus three (3) years of research experience, or Ph.D. in biology with one (1) year of relevant lab experience
      - Familiarity with molecular biology techniques, aseptic tissue culture, and flow cytometry
      - Experience with protocol development and submission processes (e.g., IACUC, IBC)
      - Ability to mentor and train staff in laboratory procedures
      - Strong presentation skills for sharing research findings
