      Summary:

      The Child Mind Institute is seeking a Research Associate to work on a new initiative, which aims to develop and validate accessible digital tools (i.e., intervention, response monitoring) to promote mental health in children and adolescents.

      The Research Associate will primarily assist the Testing, Evaluation, and Optimization Core (TEOC) and work on multiple projects as a member of a cross-functional team. More specifically, the candidate will help with project coordination, project implementation, literature review, data collection (both in-person and remote), data management, data preprocessing, data analysis, and manuscript/report preparation. With strong interpersonal and organizational skills, this candidate should possess a strong willingness to play a role in cross-functional collaboration and to learn multimodal data collection (e.g., electroencephalgram, eye tracking, physiological sensors, digitized cognitive tasks and surveys).       Reporting to the Head of the TEOC, this is a non-exempt, full-time position, located in NYC. The Research Associate will be expected to work in both Midtown and Harlem offices.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist in in-person and remote data collection
      • Assist in coordinating and implementing new research projects
      • Assist in developing cross-functional collaboration
      • Assist in drafting and monitoring study protocols and related documentation
      • Formatting, designing and building online assessments in multiple platforms.
      • Assist in data management and analyses, as well as manuscript preparation for publication
      • Conduct and summarize scientific literature review
      • Attend and present at team meetings
      • Other tasks as assigned

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or other related scientific fields
      • 2-3 years of clinical and/or research experience is required
      • Strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently
      • Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and pay attention to detail
      • Must be proficient in computers and Microsoft Suite
      • Proficiency in R and/or python is preferred
      • Bilingual abilities (English-Spanish and/or English-Chinese) are a plus
