      Research Coordinator - Reseach Analyst - SR 26

      As a member of the Data & Analysis team, this position supports Oregon State Hospital by identifying research topics and then participating in research design, implementation, analysis, and reporting. This work will also directly impact the hospital's Joint Commission readiness and the OSH Performance System which encompasses our drive to outcome-based measurement.

      What you will do!

      The research projects this position will be responsible for may vary from simple assessments to long term, highly complex projects and will assist OSH and state leaders in making informed and reasonable decisions regarding treatment, care, safety and operational issues. The person in this position must have extensive knowledge of, and experience with, a wide variety of quantitative and statistical methodologies as well as general sociological, demographic, and research design techniques. Will need prior experience with quantitative survey design methodology and online survey tools like Qualtrics or QualPro.

      This position works with staff at all levels within OHA and OSH and may also participate in research involving other external institutions. This position must be capable of working on projects independently or as part of a team of researchers. This position consults with agency management and others regarding informational needs but uses independent judgment when developing research projects and associated processes.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports;

      OR
      Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.

      SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

      • Strong research skills, including data collection and analysis

      • Experience in survey research (designing, fielding, and analysis activities)

      • Excellent organizational and project management skills

      • Knowledge of research methodology and ethical guidelines

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Qualtrics or other online survey platforms and data analysis software

      • Effective communication and collaboration skills

      • Ability to work independently and remotely

Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) eligible employees will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay the 6% employee contribution to PERS.
