What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Innovate by developing novel performance-driven data sub-selection methods for AI model training
- Engineer and develop scalable data pipelines to support large language model (LLM) training and evaluation
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and legal experts to enhance data processing and model evaluation
- Optimize data collection and annotation processes to improve training data quality continuously
- Manage source control and data versioning to ensure robust and testable data systems
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Relevant degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with applied machine learning and natural language processing techniques
- Excellent programming, debugging, and system design skills
- Strong communication skills for clear reporting and presentation of findings
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud-based data platforms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional legal knowledge or interest in the legal domain
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop
- Contributions to publications in leading machine learning venues
- Previous experience with large-scale data processing systems
- Strong software engineering skills demonstrated through contributions to open-source libraries
