- Design, execute, and record laboratory experiments, and analyze the data.
- Research and improve current methods and evaluate innovative techniques. Implement this knowledge in the Division/Department.
- Present research at laboratory meetings, journal clubs, seminars, and meetings.
- Draft, write, and edit scientific reports, papers, journal articles, abstracts, and grants.
- Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature, and seminars.
- Attend required Cincinnati Children’s training sessions and ensure regulatory compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The Nassar Lab at Cincinnati Children's has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow in Structural Biology. Applicants should have a PhD in biochemistry or structural biology with experience in single particle cryo-electron microscopy or X-ray crystallography or equivalent. The applicant will join a team focused on the regulation of the RAC activator VAV3 and on identifying protein interactors and small molecule inhibitors. Applicant will be responsible for protein expression in bacteria and mammalian cells, for purification on FPLC Akta system, for three-dimensional structure solution, and for the development of biochemical and biophysical approaches to identify binding targets. We are looking for motivated fellows.
