- Prepare and maintain reagents and perform inventory as needed.
- Assist in sample processing for histology and morphometrics, immunoblotting, and molecular biology studies.
- General laboratory maintenance of general and specialized laboratory instrumentation including various types of microscopes.
- Additional duties include completing general lab tasks, preventive maintenance, and quality control.
- Maintaining a clean working area and adheres to proper safety techniques and procedures. Performs miscellaneous related duties as required.
- Applicants should be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Biological Science, Health Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computational Science, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences or a related field, preferably with a background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computer vision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.
- A strong interest in working across disciplines with scientists in a variety of fields.
- This application is for a 10 or 12-week summer internship program that will either start on May 28th or June 10th.
- The program will conclude on August 16th, 2024.
Sarepta Therapeutics is looking for a Research Intern with relevant academic background to train on muscle/nerve testing using various types of microscopes. The ideal candidate will also learn image analysis methods following GCP/GLP protocols.
The Histology & Morphometrics Team at Sarepta Therapeutics is seeking a motivated intern to work and be trained in the histology and morphometrics analysis field. The selected intern will be provided with an opportunity to work in a laboratory specialized in muscle/nerve testing using complex histology and image analysis methods in accordance with the requirements of approved protocols. In addition to hands-on laboratory experience interns will also be working and trained on documentation in accordance with GCP/GLP. They will help maintain records of experiments, analyzing data, and generating reports under supervision.Primary Responsibilities Include:

This is a facility-dependent position where in-office presence is required four-five days a week.

The targeted salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
