Job Description
- Req#: 19193
- Perform data collection and data entry for studies. Ensures accuracy when transcribing data from data collection sheets, medical records, electronic institutional databases or other source documents into databases.
- Conduct patient interviews, phone calls and follow-up visits to obtain data as per protocol, under direction of Principal Investigator and Assistant Director, Research.
- Assist in study planning, preparing study initiation documents and preparing eCAP submissions
- Assist in enrolling patients into research studies
- Perform literature searches
- Organize academic presentations as requested
- Responsible for the handling, packaging, storing and/or shipping of dangerous goods under supervision and in compliance with State and Federal regulations. These specimens may include tissue, blood, dry ice, and chemicals. Certification in these procedures is required in accordance with the Federal Regulations (training and certification can be obtained on the job).
- High school graduate required, college student preferred
- Experienced in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be comfortable spending time in an operating room (including during surgery)
- PowerPoint and statistics knowledge helpful but not required
