Job Description

- A bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in economics, statistics, health policy, finance, international relations, or related subject area is required.
- Subject matter expertise in financial, health-related, and/or macroeconomic topics is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and experience taking detailed notes are required.
- Candidates should have strong organizational skills, great attention to detail, a strong interest in economic research, clear communication skills, and the ability to handle pressure in a demanding, professional work environment.
- Other logistic and administrative tasks may be required.

Would you like to be a part of the Milken Institute’s upcoming Global Conference? Join our team for a paid internship supporting our signature event by providing research and data support for several conference panels. By supporting the Milken Institute on-site during the week of Global Conference, this is also an excellent opportunity to interact with business leaders and policymakers.
About the Position
The internship will begin April 2nd and last through May 8th. At least 20 hours per week is preferred, with a full-time commitment required for the duration of the conference May 5th – 8th, 2024. Responsibilities include taking and compiling notes on pre-panel conference calls, editing speaker slides and other visuals, and providing on-site support during the conference. An exceptional candidate may be considered for an additional period and will have an opportunity to contribute to several research projects that will be of interest to policymakers and business leaders. The position will be based in our Santa Monica, California office.
Qualifications & Skills

We are interested in qualified candidates who are eligible to work in the United States. Please note, we are not sponsoring visas at this time, being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
This position will be working a hybrid model, where you will be expected to report to our Santa Monica office one day each week for in-person training, but most substantive work will be performed remotely. During the conference, you will be expected to be onsite 24/7 (lodging will be provided).
