The Clinical Vision Research Center (CVRC) at the State University of New York College of Optometry is seeking a Clinical Research Optometrist to begin immediately. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities will include:
• Work with other investigators, study coordinators and students to complete sponsored research protocols in contact lenses, pediatrics and ocular disease
• Prepare regulatory documents and IRB application materials for new projects and renewals
• Aid in the recruitment, enrollment and retention of subjects
• Oversee study protocol training and site qualification/ initiation /close-out visits
• Examine subjects and collect data following study protocols
• Complete adverse event reports and resolve data queries
• Write technical reports, abstracts and manuscripts
• Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines and ethical requirements of the SUNY College of Optometry, CVRC, and study sponsors
• Assist in the development of clinical research education materials and other outreach activities for patients, faculty, staff and students.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree required
• Current US optometry license required; New York state license preferred
• Clinical MS degree or research experience preferred
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings
The Salary range is $105,000 to $135,000.
