What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with Principal Investigators, research scientists, clinicians, and graduate students as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Plan and execute multiple research projects focused on military mental health and suicide prevention
- Conduct thorough reviews of military suicide decedents' medical and administrative records
- Assist in designing research protocols and psychological instruments, while formulating hypotheses
- Process and interpret experimental data, performing quantitative and qualitative statistical analyses
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate Degree required; preferably in Psychology (Experimental, Clinical, Counseling, or Social), Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong research background evidenced by scholarly publications, presentations, or postdoctoral fellowship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge or experience in military mental health, military family mental health, and/or suicidology
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and supervise others
- Experience in preparing research study materials and regulatory board documents
- Familiarity with grant writing and funding application processes
