What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide research support in areas such as health information exchange and data governance
- Lead manuscript writing and dissemination of Informatics projects
- Support grant proposal development at a national scale
- Contribute to informatics and biomedical research knowledge through presentations and innovation activities
- Align strategic investments in Informatics with the research agenda and develop project plans
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate Degree in informatics, computer science, or related field and 5+ years of post-doctoral work experience
- 5+ years of program management experience with a focus on program development and quality improvement
- Experience in research and leadership responsibilities consistent with research program goals
- Ability to work effectively with software engineers and business analysts
- Experience in grant proposal development and data systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5+ years of scientific expertise in translational informatics, data science, and healthcare data analysis
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and mentor junior staff
- Strong academic publication record in the field of translational informatics science
- Advanced knowledge of quantitative methodology and experience in healthcare data infrastructure
- Experience and publication record with big data from electronic health records
