      The Research Scientist - Monogastric is an integral part of our Research and Development team based out of our US - Mendon, IL site.

      Position Details

      The Research Scientist – Monogastric plays a critical role in developing and executing the swine and poultry scientific program for animal health and nutrition research at the Phibro Innovation Center. The Research Scientist leads a robust, strategic, and coordinated research process focused on our nutritional specialty products. The primary role is to develop a deep understanding of various animal health and nutrition topics, design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions based on research findings. This role involves hands-on work with animals and will collaborate closely with scientists, research coordinators, technicians and other experts to ensure successful planning and execution of research projects.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Research trial planning and execution.
      • Develop and maintain a long-term R&D plan based on business needs and timelines.
      • Develop trial protocols and final study reports.
      • Leverage the full capabilities of the Phibro Innovation Center to address specific research questions or hypotheses.
      • Stay up-to-date with current research in microbiome, immunity or other related fields in animal health, and incorporate relevant findings into research programs.
      • Data collection and management.
      • Analyze data using statistical methods, software tools, and specialized techniques to draw meaningful conclusions.
      • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all research activities, including protocols, regulatory documents and research data.
      • Write research papers, reports, or articles for publication in scientific journals.
      • Present research findings at conferences or seminars.
      • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and animal unit bio-safety level containment principles.
      • Identify, develop and implement innovative solutions to improve research outcomes.

      Education & Experience

      • Advanced degree (M.S, PhD) in a relevant field of animal nutrition, physiology, immunology or related discipline.
      • Experience in conducting research in both swine and poultry species.
      • 4+ years of experience in a research setting involving experimental design and data analysis techniques.
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
