Research Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY: Study, design and implement solutions towards building a Zero Trust platform for hybrid cloud security and tools for Deep Learning Security. Develop and experiment with different Machine Learning/Deep Learning based algorithms to extract insights on runtime relationships between cloud entities, like data, micro-services. Write and enforce new dynamic policies for hybrid cloud security using OPA (Open Policy Agent) and Istio Service Mesh. Set up data generation pipeline for algorithm development and testing. Develop queries and integrate different databases as part of data generation and analysis pipeline including use of various tools for threat and vulnerability analysis. Automate the end-to-end process of data generation, policy creation and policy enforcement in hybrid cloud by implementing and deploying python, shell and YAML scripts. Develop and support code for different types of attacks on deep learning models in ART (Adversarial Robustness Toolbox). Develop and support code to assess fairness of different defenses in deep learning security. Follow software design and principles to write efficient code, follow software release process, write unit tests and use different debugging tools to identify and solve issues. Create and present Proof of Concept demos. Perform literature survey through existing techniques in threat detection and protection in hybrid cloud security, research different deep learning attacks and defenses, suggest new ideas, write research papers, develop patents, present in conferences, contribute to open-source projects. Utilize: Software Design and Principles, Software Debugging and Testing, Programming, Linux Operating System, Git Version Control, Security Policies. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer, Engineer or related.
