      POSITION SUMMARY:
      Performs research activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.

      JOB DESCRIPTION:
      • Records observations and measurements and reports results.
      • Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment.
      • Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment.
      • Performs research activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.
      • Assist in the operation of specialized equipment, as required by the area of research.
      • Performs laboratory research procedures under the direction of a Principal Investigator
      • Must be proficient in the following laboratory techniques: Exosomes Isolation, cell culture, Tritiated compounds uptakes, RT-PCR, Western blot
      • Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, microscopy.
      • Possesses extensive familiarity with standard instrumentation utilized in a biochemistry research laboratory.
      • Ability to work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary research team.
      • Ability to perform experiments with independence, under general guidance from the PI.
      • Ability to take laboratory notes and assist in recordkeeping
      • Participates in laboratory meetings. • Good written and verbal communication skills.
      • Familiarity with chemical hygiene and biosafety procedures and/or willingness to accept training in such procedures.
      • Extensive handling of research animals (mice and rats), potentially biohazardous Substances (recombinant DNA retroviruses), potentially hazardous chemicals (organic solvents, various drugs). • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
