      Job Summary

      Summary
      Carries out a broad range of technically advanced research activities and procedures; evaluates conclusions and has considerable latitude to modify or devise methods and techniques as necessary to achieve desired results; typically supervises technical and sometimes administrative elements of the research unit. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions-Executes protocols of non-routine experiments.
      -Assists PI with determining the most suitable methodology.
      -Performs basic design and modification of protocols.
      -Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data.
      -Prepares and presents reports.
      -Organizes and summarizes acquired data using scientific and Statistical Techniques.
      -Participates in the design of experiments or field work.

      Samantha Morris Laboratory
      Brigham and Women’s Hospital | Harvard Medical School
      The Samantha Morris Laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical
      School is seeking a motivated Research Technician to support our work at the interface of cell
      reprogramming, lineage tracing, and developmental biology. Our lab uses cutting-edge
      molecular and cellular techniques to uncover the mechanisms of transcription factor-mediated
      reprogramming and cell identity engineering. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain
      hands-on research experience in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
      We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in cell culture , molecular biology
      techniques , and mouse handling , as well as strong organizational skills to assist with lab
      operations. This role is ideal for recent graduates interested in advancing their skills before
      pursuing graduate or medical school.
      Key Responsibilities
      Conduct cell culture experiments, including maintenance of primary and immortalized
      cell lines.
      Perform molecular biology techniques, such as DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, cloning,
      and quantitative PCR.
      Assist with mouse colony management, including genotyping, breeding, and record-
      keeping.
      Support lab operations by preparing reagents, maintaining inventory, ordering supplies,
      and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
      Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results using
