      Position Summary

      We are searching for a skilled Research Technician to join our fast-paced research laboratories focused on the post-transcriptional circuitries governing normal and malignant hematopoietic stem cells, and ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like modifier protein populations in normal and various disease states. The individual will be required to work closely with students and staff to perform in vivo mouse studies and wet-lab experiments under the direction of senior staff, and principal investigators Dr. Kristin Hope and Dr. Brian Raught.

      Duties

      • Perform cell line and primary patient cell culture assays, lentiviral transductions, drug treatment studies with pro-hematopoietic or anti-leukemic compounds
      • Carry out in vivo studies in immunodeficient mice, including xenotransplantations, animal monitoring, drug administration, and tissue analysis
      • Perform multi-parameter flow cytometry and cell sorting
      • Prepare samples for next generation omics technologies and high throughput screens
      • Carry out standard molecular and biochemical experiments
      • Assist in developing in vivo and in vitro protocols
      • Perform additional tasks as required, including but not limited to molecular cloning, lentivirus preparation, cell culture, and whole blood processing
      • Supervise and train undergraduate or graduate students
      • Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory
