  Summary of Job Duties:

  The Research Technician promotes research and ensures that the integrity and quality of the research is maintained and is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, federal regulations, sponsor guidelines, and institutional policies and procedures. He or she would also perform research assistance by processing biological samples, performing experiments, and managing and analyzing data.

  
  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED PLUS two (2) years related lab research experience

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or master) in biology, microbiology, biochemistry or related scientific field

  • Background in molecular biology, microbiology (either bacteria and virology), cancer research (oncogenesis, drug resistance, drug discovery) or related fields

  • Experience in cell culture, Western blot, PCR, flow cytometry, microscope, and animal handling

  
  Additional Information:

  Responsibilities:

  • Conducts laboratory experiments involving sample processing, data collection, and analysis under the direction of the Principal Investigator or senior lab staff.

  • Maintains thorough and accurate records of experimental procedures and results.

  • Assists with ordering lab supplies, tracking inventory, and maintaining laboratory safety and compliance documentation.

  • Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and ensures cleanliness and organization of workspaces.

  • Participates in routine lab meetings and supports collaborative research initiatives.
