      This position is located at Army Lodging, Tower Barracks (Grafenwoehr).

      Duties


      • Serves as a reservation clerk in a large hotel assigned to various reservations and related clerical functions requiring use of on-line computer.
      • Receives and confirms reservations via telephone, fax, letter or e-mail. Receives daily mail and fax correspondence and processes necessary action.
      • Analyzes deposit log and takes appropriate action. Clears wait list according to priority procedures and processes e-mail request for reservations. Prints deposit due report and deletes reservation if deposit has not been received by the due date.
      • Verifies all information is correct on reservation confirmation prior to mailing. Prepares a distinguished guest list for use by each affected department.

      Requirements


      • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
      • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
      • A one year probationary period may be required.
      • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
      • Works in a well lighted air conditioned office area; not exposed to inclement weather conditions while working.
      • Must be able to work rotating shift to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

      Qualifications


      Work experience directly related to the duties described above in a service related industry. Basic computer skills. Ability to type 40 words per minute.

      Best Qualifying Criteria:
      Applicants who have at least one year of hotel experience as receptionist or night auditor, either in Army Lodging and/or other hotel operations and who have at least 3 months general knowledge of the Defense Lodging System (DLS) will be considered Best Qualified.
