- Provide strong customer service to residents, guests, and providers on-site
- Maintain safety by monitoring building access and security systems
- Respond to resident requests, distribute supplies, and complete check-ins
- Engage with residents to support pro-social and wellness activities
- Complete documentation, including sign-in logs and participant interactions
- Support residents through problem-solving, crisis intervention, and resource referrals
- Coordinate with program staff and leadership to maintain a healthy living environment
- Help transport residents to appointments or events when needed
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and trauma-informed care initiatives
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least two years of experience working with individuals navigating mental health and chemical health challenges
- Lived experience welcomed and considered as part of qualifications
- Comfort working with individuals experiencing homelessness and recovery
- Ability to de-escalate, mediate, and maintain professional boundaries
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and adaptable with a commitment to recovery-oriented services
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Open availability for day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts

Avivo provides life-changing recovery housing for individuals participating in outpatient treatment through our Transitional Recovery Lodging programs. These programs offer a safe, supportive environment with 24/7 staff presence to help individuals stabilize, engage in treatment, and pursue lasting wellness. Our staff uphold a commitment to person-centered care, recovery principles, and trauma-informed practices in every interaction.
Your Role
As a Resident Advocate, you’ll be part of a vital team supporting individuals living in Avivo’s transitional housing. You’ll help ensure a welcoming, secure, and recovery-focused environment while building trust with residents, responding to needs, offering support, and maintaining safety across our properties. This on-call position requires open availability for all shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our 24/7 residential programs.
