- Five years of increasingly responsible experience in social work or social services with an emphasis in direct client work with individuals or families, case coordination, and program development. Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred. A related degree may substitute for work experience requirement.

This may include attaching a resume and other applicable documentation that demonstrates your qualifications.The Resident and Community Services Coordinator will support our Permanent Supportive Housing team. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing resident, family, community service, community building, and social and educational services to improve the stability, quality of community life, and wellness of individuals and families. Resident services delivery model focuses on centering community needs for more equitable processes and practices. The goal is to effectively leverage limited resources and opportunities and ensure services are based on trauma-informed, anti-racist, culturally specific practices that empower residents.
This position will be located at our Bud Clark Commons property. Bud Clark Commons is a public partnership between the City of Portland, Home Forward and Transition Projects, Inc. ("TPI") to create a 90 bed men's shelter, a community resource center with programmatic services and 130 units of permanent supportive housing, all targeting the most medically vulnerable and chronically homeless citizens of our community. It is located at NW Broadway and Hoyt Street in Portland, OR. Through public funding sources, Home Forward develops and manages the entire project. Transition Projects is responsible for the services within the men's shelter and the day access center.

This position is represented by AFSCME Local 3135 and is scheduled to close Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
