      MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located in the Atlanta, GA or surrounding area, reporting to the Service Manager at the Aiken, SC branch for MGX Equipment Services.

      *Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may also be available to those who qualify.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

      • Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
      • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
      • Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
      • Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
      • Provides excellent customer service.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      JOB REQUIREMENTS:

      • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
      • Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.
      • Must be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
      • Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required.
      • Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
      • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
      • Basic computer skills preferred.

      WORKING CONDITIONS:

      This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

      This position will be required to work in an environment with exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures and various weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. While performing the duties of this job, the employees is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

      PAY & TRAINING:

      This position offers a pay range between $25.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non-bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.

      A customized training plan and career path is identified for each technician and provided within the first week of employment, outlining growth and advancement opportunities.
