      POSITION OVERVIEW:

      Under the supervision of the Shift Supervision, the Residential Aide is the primary connection between the operations staff and the residents. The Residential Aide will spend a large amount of time with the residents. Focusing on helping clients who need more hands on assistance.

      KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

      • Perform daily room and bed inspections.
      • Pack up and log items for AWOL residents.
      • Prepare beds and rooms for new arrivals.
      • Escort residents to appointments.
      • Assist in the monitoring and development of resident’s independent living skills
      • Create progress notes detailing interactions with residents
      • Conduct intakes with new residents
      • Safeguard all confidential information for residents including demographic information, services, needs, actions and personal information.
      • Perform nightly bed counts efficient and accurately.
      • Serve as back up coverage for kitchen staff.
      • Conflict resolution between residents.
      • Create incident reports clearly detailing all events.
      • Provide backup coverage for operations desk as needed.
      • Log all events and visitors in the daily logbook
      • Help maintain the cleanliness of the building
      • Serve meals to residents in accordance with food management protocols
      • Monitor common areas to ensure proper usage
      • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
      • Prepare and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner attend mandatory staff meetings
      • Other duties in keeping with the scope and nature of the position


      REQUIREMENTS:

      • High School Diploma required.
      • Associates Degree preferred
      • Knowledge of DHS requirements and protocols preferred
      • Food Handler’s certificate
      • Fire safety coordinator certification
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills
      • Ability to maintain accurate records and safeguard resident’s confidential information
      • Basic computer literacy
