      Minimum Requirements:

      High School Diploma or GED.

      Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.

      Must possess good communication skills.

      Must possess good verbal communication skills - English and Spanish.

      Must possess good written communications skills - English.

      Must possess the ability to transport offenders safely in Substance Abuse Treatment Facility vehicles and adhere to all state laws, policies and rules.

      Must possess the ability to create a safe and positive environment.

      Must possess the ability to create an atmosphere which is conducive to positive Behavioral changes.

      Must possess the ability to motivate and direct offenders.

      Must have regular and timely attendance.

      Must be willing to work day and night shifts.

      Must possess reliable transportation and auto liability insurance for work related travel, at all times.

      Experience in working with disadvantaged or underprivileged individuals preferred, and

      Perform all related duties as assigned.

      Specific Requirements:

      Inspect and monitor offenders for security infringements and program rule violations.

      Must possess the ability to document all security infringements and program rule violations.

      Maintain log of all activities on shift and update master shift log.

      Supervise maintenance projects for facility.

      Confer with Supervision Officer/Treatment Staff on client's behavior and treatment.

      Control client movements and supervise all activities.

      Collect urine specimens for drug screening as required.


      Other:
      Must have never been convicted of or placed on court-ordered community supervision/probation for any criminal offense classified as a Class B misdemeanor or higher.

      Note: Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, this is a non-exempt position.
