Job Description
- Req#: 35184
- Provides supervision and direction to participants in accordance with the Residential Treatment Center policies and procedures.
- May assist in the delivery of recovery programming such as 12-step groups and similar curriculum related to topics of addiction.
- Transports participants to scheduled activities, appointments, etc.
- Document participant activities and program attendance in their respective records (example: electronic health records, opus), etc.
- Monitor participant behavior in groups and activities.
- Provide and document ongoing observation of participant behavior in their daily surroundings.
- Maintain a calm, non-defensive, supportive attitude towards all participants and staff.
- Meet emergency and crisis demands in a calm, competent, and timely manner.
- Positively and appropriately interact with participants and their families.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor for participants, staff, and community members.
- Comply with safe driving practices and conduct vehicle operation checks.
- Maintain confidentially at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and standard office equipment.
- Must display quality writing ability and communication skills.
- Experience working with Indian Tribes or organizations preferred.
- Experience/knowledge of 12-step and similar recovery programming.
- Preference will be given to Comanche tribal members.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable under the Comanche Nation’s Motor Vehicle policy.
- Must be willing to submit to, and pass, drug testing; employment will be contingent upon successful completion.

POSITION SUMMARY: Will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to participants in who have been diagnosed with Alcohol Use Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, Opioid Use Disorder, and/or Co-Occurring Disorder(s) and are currently residing in the Comanche Nation Residential Treatment Center. Prevention & Recovery programs are funded by multiple funding sources and staff must be responsible for strict adherence to all funding requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPORTS TO : Will report to the Prevention and Recovery Director of Participant Care and/or Security Supervisor. This position will not hold supervisory authority.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIRED: Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Vision and hearing in the normal range, with or without correction.
Minimal lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : Majority of work will be performed in the Residential Treatment Center office setting with occasional outreach activities and community events.
