- Assess and develop a best practice re-integration program and case management plan for community members who access the Denver Navigation Center services.
- Network with and connect appropriate community resources/services
- Manage and lead staff to create a positive environment for staff and guests.
- Lead and manage teams: hire, train, cross-train and develop program staff for all case manager and housing navigators. Develop individual goals and self-care plans, provide ongoing feedback and one-on-one meetings, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Provide supervision and support to Program Director while leading the coordination efforts with city and community partners on the housing/case management team.
- Manages HR related issues including hiring, staff discipline and conflict resolution in a timely manner.
- Train staff to be proficient in responding to both simple and complex situations while using trauma informed care and appropriate crisis intervention strategies.
- Ensure staff complete all required onboarding trainings.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and productivity by program staff; coordinate work assignments, workflows and ensure regular staff meetings.
- Oversees staff schedules while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and low overtime utilization.
- Develop a Housing Focused Case Management Program.
- Assess need and potential impact of a comprehensive re-integration program for single homeless men
- Create a case management program for Crossroads guests that assists and encourages them to work toward greater self-sufficiency.
- Assist in establishing a basic data analysis of program effectiveness and impact relative to outcome objectives and measures.
- Develop outreach and recruitment strategy to engage guests in case management programming.
- Housing First Employment Training Assistance
- Establish multiple and diverse employment training opportunities for program participants to reduce barriers to housing.
- Secure external career assessment and guidance services
- Promote community partnerships for permanent employment for residents
- Network with Community Resources and Partners
- Initiate networking relationships with appropriate community and service agencies.
- Encourage coordinated access/connection for residents with necessary community services
- Participate in community meetings and collaborations as assigned by the Shelter Administrator
- Promote community and for-profit involvement with support
- Referrals as needed.
- If the position requires driving:
- A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
- An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

Rate of Pay: $26.78/hour

Function: Denver Metro Social Services (DMSS) is seeking a resource case manager. The resource case manager core activities through DMSS will include identifying community resources, assessments, search and lease up in housing, identifying and administering appropriate financial interventions, referrals to community resources (clothing, food and other emergency assistances), case conferencing and coordination. The resource case manager will also coordinate and facilitate participant orientation meetings.

Demonstrated history of providing professional, effective case management services Competent in providing a positive, solution-focused approach to working with troubled program participants
Able to conceptualize, teach and model case management skills, including motivational interviewing and trauma informed care.
Experience providing supervision to staff.
Desire to serve others by building on their strengths
Competent in working independently within clear parameters in a team environmentEducation
Master’s degree in social work (MSW), preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Public Health or comparable field required. Experience with case management required. Be supportive of The Salvation Army’s mission. Ability to reflect and model the high standards of our organization as one of the world’s most distinguished human services charitable organizations.
Track record in working with people requiring critical case management experience. 1 year experience working with unhoused populations required. Experience with addiction recovery populations is preferred.
