Job Description
- Req#: 463817
- Communicates with delinquent borrowers to obtain late payments and documents all collection actions taken. This may include locating clients with which the bank has lost contact, calling clients, sending collection letters, maintaining contact notes in the system.
- Analyzes borrower’s financial statements for possible options and recommends adjustment procedures to be followed or action to be taken. If debt is part of an estate, works with appropriate individuals to collect debt.
- Utilizes methods of resource recovery under terms of the loan contract; extends due dates, refinances loans with approved lending authority or refers clients to proper lending personnel for refinancing.
- Evaluates payments (regular and irregular) made on delinquent accounts and determines how the payments will be applied. Reviews company records and transactions to resolve misapplied payments; Researches account transactions to ensure that payments are properly credited.
- Assists with repossession and foreclosure activities as assigned.
- Follows all collection policies and procedures to achieve goals established in the Resource Recovery Department’s annual operating plan.
- Demonstrates strong client service skills, exercises judgement in dealing with clients.
- Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.
- Associates degree in business or finance preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Two or more years experience and/or formal training in a related position preferred
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with clients and all levels of management
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Navigator/ITI skills preferred
- A thorough knowledge of regulations affecting the resource recovery function
- Ability to travel; Valid Driver’s License required
Responsible for performing collection and administrative duties to support the resource recovery function while complying with established operating policies and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements
Salary Range $17.00 to $26.50 hourly
