- Maintain and exceed established retail sales & service goals
- Inspire Beauty Colleagues to book client appointments for full makeup lessons, building Client loyalty
- Coach Beauty Colleagues to build client rapport while executing your own client management, ie. send personal thank you cards to clients that attend events
- Use proprietary systems to follow up on samples, purchases, and extend invitations to return
- Coaching:
- Attend brand training, as required. Travel may be necessary
- Train Beauty Colleagues, imparting brand product knowledge and standards clearly and accurately
- Coach Beauty Colleagues on the use of proprietary systems
- Continuously lead by example
- At-Counter Events:
- Plan and execute events, each weekend, to recruit new clients and elevate Macy's as the makeup authority in the region
- Provide Beauty Colleagues with appointment goals for each day/event
- Serve as point person for department store fashion show events, etc.
- Energize counter team to maximize results
- Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
- Formal beauty or makeup technical school certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of cosmetic experience required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Awareness of latest fashion trends/color.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department.
- May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
- Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.

Job Overview
As a Makeup Artist, you will drive sales and grow the business through makeup artistry. You will design, teach, and apply makeup looks that represent the latest fashion/color trends and support the brand vision. You will energize and elevate the makeup expertise of all Beauty Colleagues by providing personal makeup artistry coaching to develop their fundamental makeup artistry skills.
