- Develop & implement processes to align with execution strategy for maintaining and developing new store technology in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Provide management direction to individual contributors supporting end user and store engineering functions including VDI, POS, and other core store infrastructure.
- Program & Project Management oversight for major transformation programs for store technology.
- Implement, audit, and define lifecycle & compliance programs – including currency refreshes, compliance findings, and DR Programs.
- Service owner for store infrastructure.
- Thought leader in the selection of tool sets and platforms and partners with other leaders to ensure that data-driven platform decisions are well thought out, documented, and socialized.
- Ability to describe and differentiate the features, benefits and disadvantages of competing virtualization and cloud platforms.
- Bachelor's degree OR 6 years relevant work experience.
- 12+ years of Information Technology senior leadership experience at a Fortune 500 company.
- Candidate must have had at least 5-7 years in a hands-on technical operations role. Company strongly prefers candidates with previous hands-on distributed infrastructure engineering experience.
- Direct management of cross functional, sourced, or matrixed teams specially working with multiple suppliers.

The enterprise infrastructure team is responsible for the availability and stability of all hosting and infrastructure related services across the enterprise. This includes systems in over 600 Retail Stores, Distribution Centers, Data Centers, Metro Area offices, and remote workforce.
Reporting to the Sr Manager of IT Support, this role is a leadership role overseeing engineering, and day-to-day support of retail store technologies and engineering. A successful candidate will partner closely with omni-channel technology leaders to help bring new store technology to market and support existing store technology. The primary objective is to provide leadership, vision, coaching, mentoring, and serve as an escalation for subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in leadership, business acumen, diverse technical acumen, coaching, mentoring, and driving high performing infrastructure teams. While this role is not a hands-on role, a successful candidate would be comfortable driving outage calls, jumping into technical conversations, as well as briefing senior leaders on program status.

Pay Rate: $77,000 - $110,000/yr depending on background and experience.
This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance. The job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on actual experience, education, and other factors. The pay range(s) listed are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
