Become fully fluent and competent with respect to all issues related to qualified retirement plans and how they operate, what their advantages and limitations are
Advise clients of their options in regard to their retirement planning
Build trusting relationships with individual clients, helping them to articulate what their own success looks like and what the rewards of their success will be
Provide planning and advice regarding clients’ investment and retirement strategy
Work with a dedicated assistant to attend to the necessary administrative work associated with financial transactions, and successfully fund at least 15-20 accounts monthly
Maintain a constant pipeline of clients to close continual business throughout the month
Develop and review a personal business plan to remain on track to hit targeted production goals
Collaborate with partners setting your appointments for you and taking referrals sent by the customer contact center for existing participants with planning needs
Maintain a detailed series of records using the CRM platform Salesforce
Work with partners in the company to implement specialized financial strategies and products where appropriate
Advance to a role where a book of business is fully retained and accumulating trail commissions are paid on advisory accounts
Bachelor’s degree in a business- related field or equivalent professional experience.
FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65; or FINRA Series 7 and 66 (required to be approved to do business in all states
One year of experience in the financial services industry
Basic knowledge of financial products (related to assigned specialty area)
Customer service, interpersonal and listening skills to effectively communicate with customers and earn trust
Problem-solving and decision-making skills to select and recommend product solutions
Written/verbal communication and presentation skills to provide information via phone, email, video, chat, etc
Proficiency using MS Office
Life License
CFP and/or CRPC
Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce.com) and digital financial advice platforms

The Retirement Plan Specialist role is fully remote!

Advice Center hours are 7:00am CST to 7:00pm CST Monday through Friday. Shifts are 8 hours with overtime available. You must be available and willing to work until 7:00 CST 1-2 days during the week.
What you will do:
You will serve as a trusted advisor to the participants of Transamerica’s expansive book of qualified retirement accounts from Transamerica’s employer sponsored plans, helping participants to understand their options with their qualified savings, assisting them in setting goals, calculating exactly what it will take to achieve those goals, and implementing the plan.

**Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. **
Total Compensation for this role is estimated to be $65,000 - 95,000 per year.
Base pay for this position generally ranges from $46,000 - $49,000 per year. This rate is based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The rate may vary above and below the stated amount, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
Commissions:
This position may be eligible to earn commissions based on applicable sales incentive plan(s). All details pertaining to the calculation and payment of those commissions are available in the individual provisions of the sales incentive plan that applies. Average first year commission opportunity ranges from $12,000 - 18,000 and is uncapped based on performance. Commissions are paid monthly.
This role provides a base salary along with a guaranteed floor of $1000 each month for the first 6 months and a one-time $2000 sign on bonus.
Bonus Eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 5%.
