      Job Title: Revenue Cycle Financial Analyst
      Location: Springfield, Mo.
      Department: Client Financial Services
      Employment Type: Full-time
      Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

      Job Summary:

      The Revenue Cycle Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial health through the analysis of financial and non-financial data, reconciliation of healthcare revenue systems, and collaboration on strategic financial planning. Incumbent ensures the accuracy and efficiency of revenue cycle processes, contributes to budgeting and cost reporting, and provides actionable insights to leadership.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Reconcile electronic health records (EHR) subledger to the general ledger to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

      • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.
      • Assist with preparation and analysis of cost reports (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
      • Collaborate with senior leadership on annual budget planning and variance analysis.
      • Monitor and analyze trends in financial performance, providing recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
      • Consolidate financial data and create forecasts in alignment with organizational goals.
      • Develop and streamline systems for tracking financial metrics and operational KPIs.
      • Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP and internal controls.
      • Identify and implement process improvements across the revenue cycle and finance operations.
      • Maintain organized documentation of financial reconciliations, analysis, and reports.
      • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested.
      • Demonstrate initiative and contribute to both short- and long-term strategic objectives.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
      • Deep understanding of cost accounting and financial forecasting.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; advanced Excel skills required.
      • Ability to interpret and synthesize complex financial data.
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
      • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to support team functions as needed.

      Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
      • Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
      • Minimum of 3 years in financial analysis, accounting, or healthcare finance.
      • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) reconciliation highly preferred.
      • Familiarity with federal and state cost reporting is strongly desired.

      Employment Requirements:

      • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
      • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
      • All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
      • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

      Physical Requirements:

      ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

      Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
