What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Submit timely and accurate invoices to payers for products and services provided, ensuring proper authorization and documentation
- Evaluate received payments for correctness and apply them accurately to patient accounts
- Follow up on submitted invoices to ensure prompt payment and address any payment delays
- Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines as outlined in contract terms, including HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and collection training and complete second-level appeals to payers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0 – 6 months of previous experience in Infusion Reimbursement or Intake/Admissions
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to understand contract terms and fee schedules
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related billing or reimbursement role
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and healthcare compliance
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills for effective follow-up with payers and patients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
