Management of agreed programmes of work through whole lifecycle from initiation through to closure, helping to define each project's scope and objectives with relevant stakeholders. Ensuring effective communications are developed and delivered.
Leading the annual reward review process, working closely with relevant Reward Leads, and key support teams (e.g. People Operations, People Technology and Internal Communications) as necessary.
Owning key reward frameworks (e.g. job evaluation, benchmarking, pay governance, etc.), ensuring that associated documents, including policies & processes are in place, legally compliant and being used consistently.
Identifying opportunities for improvement within reward function, assessing impact of change and leading on the design, development and delivery of these process improvements. Ensuring a continuous process improvement mindset.
Management of agreed gender and ethnicity pay gap reporting analysis and activity.
Owning rules and eligibility for all bonus schemes (excepting Sales Incentive Plans), working with Bupa Group on Group-governed schemes. Reviewing and governing approvals of new bonus schemes requests. Acting as the bonus process owner and provides resolution for any bonus disputes.
Reward Lead for Workday.
Reward Lead (for BGUK) on Global Job Catalogue – coordinating input from MU where Group-driven changes are requested. Identifying opportunities to improve catalogue based on feedback from Reward Leads/business leaders based on strategic needs/direction of Insurance & Functions.
Leading a pool of Reward Analysts, managing capacity to provide support to Reward Leads across Insurance & Functions.
Supporting the Head of Reward with Regulated Entities Remuneration Committee activity, from preparing papers and collating packs through to managing/tracking through actions.
Acting as main conduit between Group/BGUK driven-activity for Insurance & Functions (and BGUK-wide where agreed) ensuring that, where activity is agreed, activity is scoped and added to programme of work.
Management of overall data survey submission process, ensuring Bupa participates in agreed surveys, coordinating data submission to key providers (e.g. Willis Towers Watson). Ensuring Reward Leads are briefed on key trends and new surveys shared in a timely fashion.
Deputising for Head of Reward – Insurance & Functions.
Broad technical reward experience and understanding, covering all key pillars (pay, bonuses, benefits).
Strong project management experience.
Experience of supporting with Remuneration Committee activity.
Extremely strong numerical and analytical skills and working in an environment that requires strong attention to detail.
Experience of job evaluation (WTW or Hay/Korn Ferry) methodologies.
Experience of working with and influencing business stakeholders and holding roles which demand good problem-solving ability and the need to make decisions that positively impact the business.
Strong communication, influencing, judgement, persuasiveness and negotiating skills.
Experience of working with people at different levels of seniority within the organisation.
Experience of working with complex and large business groups.

As a Reward Manager you will be responsible for the management of cyclical (e.g. reward review) and ad hoc reward programmes, both across BGUK (where agreed) and within Insurance & Functions specifically. You’ll take responsibility for the management of overall reward frameworks, covering pay, allowances and incentives and you’ll act as the Reward Lead for Workday, working closely with People Technology team.
