      This role is a work from home opportunity, which can be based anywhere in the US.

      A successful candidate will play a critical role in the quality of our RFP responses and the efficiency of the whole team. The Content Manager should continuously strive to increase the team’s knowledge of products and the industry in order to best produce meaningful content.

      The Content Manager will partner with subject matter experts to proactively maintain assigned libraries of content within our content management system to further streamline the production of RFPs and increase accuracy of our responses. Additionally, the Content Manager will strive to build relationships with business partners across the firm and seek opportunities to improve existing processes. The Content Manager will have responsibility to conduct ongoing quality control reviews of RFP drafts.

      Individual Accountabilities:

      • Find opportunities to work with subject matter experts to develop and incorporate new content into content libraries and archive outdated information
      • Maintain expert understanding of industry trends, competitive intelligence, and John Hancock’s products, services, and procedures
      • Write, edit, and proofread new content in accordance with JHRPS procedures, standards, and style
      • Function as database administrator for the proposal library tool Qvidian
      • Oversee development and maintenance of all JHRPS content used in preparing proposals (i.e. RFP/RFI/DDQs). Improve existing content structure as necessary.
      • Ensure that the content within Qvidian is well-organized, current, and compliant.
      • Populate Qvidian content library with approved and accurate questions and responses.
      • Perform Quality Control on RFPs. Ensure consistency across the all RFP writers.
      • Manage ongoing content reviews (quarterly, semi-annually, annually), including working with subject matter experts to update content and statistics
      • Act as peer mentor
      • Continuously seek ways to refine RFP processes and procedures and improve team efficiency
      • Function as team leader in absence of team manager: monitor RFP queue, evaluate RFPs for worthiness and complexity, and either decline or assign work, and ensure workload balance across all team members
      • From time to time, additional responsibilities and projects will be assigned.

      Job Requirement:

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
      • 4+ years of experience in a sales support or B2B marketing communications role within financial services
      • Excellent written communications skills
      • Expert with Microsoft Office proposal software (Qvidian)
      • In-depth knowledge of retirement plans (defined contribution, defined benefit, executive benefit, etc.)
      • Superior organizational, analytical, and innovative problem-solving skills
      • Extensive experience crafting convincing proposals (ideally for retirement plans

      • Excellent writing ability and ability to create compelling communications that conform to the JH writing style guide
      • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills and keen attention to detail

      Salary & Benefits

      The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

      Primary Location

      USA, Massachusetts - Full Time Remote

      Salary range is expected to be between

      $66,675.00 USD - $111,125.00 USD
