What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Load medical records into coding system and link to appropriate chart IDs
- Download medical records from EMR systems remotely and in person
- Schedule appointments and assist with medical record quality assurance
- Perform special projects as directed by management
- Travel to provider offices to acquire medical records
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of administrative experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a physician practice, hospital, or insurance company
- Knowledge of healthcare risk adjustment coding
