Job Description
- Req#: 83992
- Design, implement and test required changes to Endur also within the New Business Approval Process, i.e. design market valuation curves, deal modelling and end-to-end deal life cycle process implementation
- Responsibility of running and expanding regular checks and processes to ensure Endur Data Accuracy and validity ( Futures Expiry & Inventory, Stress test)
- Operational maintenance for trade capture and market data processes on a day to day basis as well as on a strategic enhancement level (i.e. futures holding instrument and deal template creation)
- Apply and enforce the “Greenfield Design Principles” and take ownership of assigned topics
- You will support Endur related projects that require changing or heavy building of Endur (i.e. upgrades)
- Ensure the maintenance of EoD to improve performance
- Assist Front Office, Risk and other stakeholders on reporting request with data stored in Endur
- Your activities will require a consistent interface cross-functionally both within RWESTA and globally across the wider RWE organization, especially with Risk colleagues in Europe;
- Being based in Chicago, you will be a core team member of the dynamic Chicago-based team of dedicated commercial and business support experts. You’ll report into the Head of Business Engineering Power Cross Commodity in Europe, thus being part of the global Risk team whilst being the key point of contact for the business at RWESTA and key contributor to our expansion efforts.
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in physics, math, economics, etc.
- Strong understanding of commodity trading: trading lifecycle for physical and/or financial trading instruments on a broad range of commodities and products (PWR, Green Certificates RECs, EUA, Metal, Weather, IR, FX and Cross Commodities), here with focus on the US Power and Certificates Markets;
- Good understanding of Value-at-Risk, option valuation theory, Options “Greeks”, and stress testing concepts;
- Good knowledge in Open Link Endur, MS Office/Excel/Access; also preferable SQL and Report Builder;
- Evidence of strong structured approaches to tackling issues and tasks; strong evidence of good attention to detail in delivery, ability to quality-control own work and daily output;
- Exceptional communication skills and proven collaborative, relationship management skills; preferably also project management experience;
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; accomplish tasks against deadlines and confirmed timelines;
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to actionable tasks and initiatives;
- You are excited to work in a role requiring daily in-person collaboration with your colleagues on our state-of-the-art trading floor in central Chicago with a willingness of infrequently travel to other US RWE offices.
