What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a key contributor to the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Committee, aligning organizational policies with regulations
- Lead the analysis and preparation of compliance responses for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and contract agreements
- Oversee and enhance compliance functions, including conducting audits and managing compliance training
- Conduct research on current and proposed legislation impacting the organization, providing actionable insights to leadership
- Manage the organization's conflict of interest disclosure processes and develop mitigation strategies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BA/BS in a related field (Healthcare Administration, Law, Business, Compliance, or similar disciplines)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare compliance or regulatory compliance, ideally within the nonprofit sector
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, including Section 1557 and HIPAA
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for drafting and revising policy and training materials
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree, Juris Doctorate, or paralegal certification with relevant experience
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or other relevant certifications
- Prior work experience in compliance or law
- Specialized coursework or certifications in healthcare compliance, risk management, or regulatory law
