      Salary: £44k - £54k (Depending on Experience)

      Location: Peterborough

      Benefits:

      25 days annual leave,

      10% bonus

      The Opportunity

      An opportunity has become available within the IPSD (Industrial Power Systems Division) Risk & Compliance team, which focuses on mitigation of regulatory risks through application of the Caterpillar Compliance Risk Model.

      The focus of this role will include providing expert knowledge, technical guidance and process support on matters relating to Imports Controls Compliance, and related regulations, including identification and mitigation of new or emerging compliance risk areas. You will play a vital part in ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance and the effective movement of goods globally, to fulfil our internal and external customer requirements.

      In addition, this role will include program ownership responsibilities relating to other generalist Compliance areas including (but not limited to) Data Privacy governance; Compliance Training Program; Compliance communications; Compliance process improvement (inc. digital solutions).

      This position will work closely with the Compliance community, Imports Controls Program Manager, Imports Operations team, and the Enterprise Trade Centre of Excellence, as well as other related stakeholder groups within Supply Chain and the wider business. The role holder will also need to collaborate closely with other members of the IPSD Compliance team.

      Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

      • Supporting imports related project activity relating to transfers of processes to planned new Business ERP system (QAD/EE).

      • Providing business stakeholder support/guidance on technical imports compliance related issues, supporting business operations.

      • Supporting Imports Controls Program Manager / representing Compliance on live and emerging Imports related projects / issues (including new regulations).

      • Provide training on imports compliance related topics to business stakeholders, as required.

      • Managing governance program for IPSD Data Privacy program; including co-chairing of Data Privacy Council.

      • Compliance Training Program & awareness/communications coordination.

      • Compliance process improvement identification (inc. digitisation/automation of key processes).

      • Function as a focal point for coordination of emerging compliance initiatives, risk mitigation and new projects as required.

      • Maintain and develop relevant business partner relationships whilst maintaining customer satisfaction for internal and external business partners.

      • Identify, and lead process improvement initiatives related to compliance processes.

      • Interact with people from all levels across multiple divisions/Caterpillar organisations on compliance matters.

      • Manage own development, continuously learning through experience, interpersonal and program management skills.

      Skills and Experience:

      Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

      • Extensive equivalent job-related experience.

      • Technical understanding of import/export trade compliance procedures (particularly UK regulations)

      • Understanding of international supply chain processes.

      • Generalist Compliance program experience in addition to Trade Compliance/Imports Controls.

      • Degree-level education preferred; and/or relevant experience in the areas described.

      • Strong administrative, organizational, and analytical skills; process oriented.

      • Strong interpersonal/communication skills.

      • Ability to learn and communicate technical information effectively inc. training delivery.

      • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project areas in a dynamic environment.

      • Proficient with all O365 software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams.

      Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

      • Knowledge of relevant systems, e.g., Ricardo; CHIEF/CDS; MFG Pro; QAD EE; SAP.

      • Digital tools skills e.g., Alteryx; Power Apps; Power BI.

      There will also be a requirement to make periodic visits to other UK Caterpillar/IPSD facilities.
