The vector operates via four key pillars – Growth, Operations, Control and Sales. The Control pillar aims to deliver a world class control service for the abrdn Adviser business via a philosophy of being Simple, Client-Focused, Modern, Efficient, and Scalable and Forward-Looking.

About the Client & Business Control Team

      • Developing the use of data, key risk indicators, digital metrics, and control assessments to provide evidence-based assurance of a robust control environment and policy adherence.

      • Promoting and encouraging a risk culture, through risk management awareness and accountability, that aligns with the strategic drivers and behaviours of the vector and wider Group.

      • Ensure strong compliance with ERMF across the end-to-end processes of the vector and supporting AET in demonstrating compliance with key policies and standards.

      • Act as the Subject Matter Expert of key risk frameworks and key standards and policies including EMRF, Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Conduct Risk etc.

      • Strong stakeholder management and influence with internal teams and second and third lines of defence.

      • Working closely with wider team to ensure tasks are delivered timely and to a high standard.
