      Risk and Governance Coordinator

      Staines, Salford Quays, Brighton or London (UK wide travel)

      Hybrid working options

      Full time (37.5hrs pw)

      £33,000 - £41,000 (DOE and Location) + Excellent Benefits

      Role Overview

      Core purpose of this role is to coordinate key governance activities across the Bupa insurance business. Reporting results to Management and/or stakeholders to ensure we proactively comply with regulatory requirements and are managing risks appropriately. Where required SMART actions defined are agreed with relevant stakeholders for remediation, and then tracked until completed.

      The Risk & Governance Coordinator will work with management to deliver Executive reporting and drive continuous improvement of the Risk and governance frameworks and ensure they maintain high standards of record keeping, data quality and stakeholder management.

      What You’ll Do:

      • Coordinate Executive Attestations process, supporting managers to agree findings with stakeholders, and tracking any actions until completed
      • Coordinate the annual effectiveness reviews of the Bupa Insurance management committees supporting Managers to agree findings with stakeholders, and tracking any actions until completed
      • Working with Committee Secretaries maintain the terms of reference for the Bupa Insurance management committees, recording any changes.
      • Where required draft SMART actions and assist Managers to agree wording and target dates with action owners
      • Assist Managers to prepare reports and action tracking reports in a concise and accurate manner for distribution to senior management and key governance committees.
      • Coordinate and maintain a number of core risk process including the Business Conflicts of Interest register, Regulated Entities’ Risk Acceptance process, the Accountabilities Matrix, the Governance Oversight Framework and Control and Governance Risk Registers

      What You’ll Bring:

      • Experience working in Risk, Governance or Control role
      • Customer focused, understand and demonstrate an awareness of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ principles
      • Understand regional regulatory rules and handbooks and how they apply to Bupa and the customers experience
      • Demonstrate influencing skills, comfortable challenging senior stakeholders by providing constructive and evidenced based rationale
      • Strong interpersonal skills - the ability to present confidently to varied audiences.
      • Excellent attention to detail – the ability to document controls and actions in a concise and accurate manner
      • Solution focused and the ability to present solutions to problems
