      RISK BUSINESS

      The Risk Business identifies, monitors, evaluates, and manages the firm’s financial and non-financial risks in support of the firm’s Risk Appetite Statement and the firm’s strategic plan.       BUSINESS UNIT: Credit Risk

      Credit Risk is responsible for managing the firm’s credit exposure to its trading and lending counterparties. Leveraging its extensive expertise in financial, credit and risk analysis, CR ensures that credit exposure to our counterparts is managed within the firm’s risk appetite. Credit professionals work closely with many areas of the firm. Given this structure, CR professionals gain diverse financial experience and a broad perspective on how the entire firm functions. The interaction with numerous departments and the range of projects that ensue allow for a challenging, varied and multi-dimensional work environment.

      WHAT WE LOOK FOR

      We are currently seeking a candidate to join the consumer risk team in the Risk division. The candidate will support the design and execution of credit policy governance requirements for consumer lending assets such as credit cards, small business loans, point of sale loans etc. This includes enhancing the firm’s risk governance framework to strengthen the firm’s risk management capabilities and integration with the firm's day-to-day risk management practices to ensure those risks are managed, monitored and controlled. Manage governance and delivery of periodic reporting.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Support the credit risk governance committees providing oversight for credit policies and procedures. This includes coordinating committee meetings, meeting logistics, tracking of documents and follow ups, documenting meeting minutes and ensuring that all material credit risks are reported and escalated, and appropriate action is taken in accordance with credit committee guidelines.
      • Drives the effective resolution of outstanding action items and follow ups arising from the governance forums and ensures committee transparency to follow up outcomes.
      • Support activity relating to regulatory interactions and compliance with regulatory requirements in consumer lending and support senior leadership during updates to external regulators.
      • Address internal audit requirements and findings in a timely and appropriate manner.
      • Provide support for portfolio credit risk oversight and governance by tracking the actual performance of risk appetite and credit risk management metrics against approved guardrails
      • Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with company and regulatory standards, policies and practices.

      SKILLS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

      • Bachelor’s degree with relevant skills (U.S. or equivalent) in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Communications or a related field like Information Systems, Business Analytics. Analytical skills are a plus.
      • Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently across various stakeholders while managing projects end-to-end
      • 0-3 years of experience in the related industry or in dealing with similar skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical writing and documentation experience is required
      • Strong presentation skills to synthesize and share action items and follow ups
      • Use of Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word, Power point and Excel (to manipulate and summarize data)
      • Ability to visualize information and data through charts and tools like Tableau is a plus
      • Strong willingness to learn in fast paced, team-based environment with a positive attitude required
